6 Easy Ways To Unwind At Any Time Of The Day

Have you been burning the candle at both ends? You’re not alone. Life can be all sorts of hectic for everyone. Sometimes, we rush to start the day. Other times, we’re so tired at the end of it that all we can do is conk out. With all that needs to be done, how can we schedule some self-care into our daily lives? Here are six easy ways to unwind that can be done during any time of the day.

1. Take a soothing shower with a soundtrack to match.

Sometimes, you can literally wash your worries away. You can start your day with an uplifting cool shower and some upbeat jams or end it with a warm shower paired with your indie acoustic favorites. Find a waterproof Bluetooth speaker for your bathroom for that perfect chill playlist on Spotify

2. Soak in the tub for a relaxing bubble bath.

If your home has a bathtub, make full use of it! Drop the bath bomb of your choice and hop in! This is a great way to give your muscles some reprieve at the end of a long day. To really get you in the mood, light a Lavender & Chamomile Crystal Candle and really soak in those suds.

3. Spare two minutes for some guided positivity meditation.

Sometimes, the best way to bring some positivity into your life is to bring it to yourself. Your schedule might be super packed, but take some time at any point of your day to try this positive affirmation and acceptance meditation led by Deepak Chopra.

4. Go for a walk.

It doesn’t have to be anywhere too far for too long, nor does it have to be anywhere too romanticized like a scenic forest or the seaside. Take a breather in the middle of the day and just walk around your office building to stretch your legs. A few times and a few blocks ought to do it for a middle-of-the-day pick-me-up.  This will help clear your mind of any clutter and help you refocus with refreshed vigor.

5. Read an intensely satisfying page-turner.

It doesn’t have to be a “good” book, necessarily; nothing too deep or thought-provoking or controversial, if that’s not your thing. All a book has to be is a page-turner, something that will engage you completely and really take your mind off whatever it is that’s bothering you at the moment. Do you love a sappy historical romance or a fist-clenching mystery? Whatever your tastes are, just find another world to get lost in.

6. Take a power nap.

Power naps aren’t called power naps for nothing! Rest your eyes and quiet your mind for just thirty minutes. It’s a great reset button and you’ll wake up refreshed and reinvigorated, ready to take on whatever it is you have on your plate! Also, try waking up to a Eucalyptus & Spearmint Hexagon Candle to soothe the senses and wake up without feeling rushed.
